Marvellous Malta Swim Tour 2018
We will swim every day (if you want to of course!) and for those who would like the challenge we will join the locals in one of Malta's main swim events.....5.5k from Gozo to Malta. Don't want to swim?....there is plenty to do. UNESCO's World Heritage site has bee described as "one of the most concentrated historic areas in the world".

24 August - Ramla Bay - Boat trip
Morning swim and breakfast
Pack your bathers, sunscreen and a good hat. Weather permitting today we will take a boat trip and have some leisurely swims at several locations including the Blue Lagoon and Blue Grotto.

25 August – Gozo – Malta swim
Early start for swimmers!........transfer to Gozo by ferry. Today’s adventure is to swim back to Malta (approx. 5.5k). This is an annual event organised by Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club (Malta). Each solo swimmer will have their own escort boat and the water will be around 25 degrees Celsius so it should be a very enjoyable experience – in fact you may want to tackle the double- Malta-Gozo-Malta (11k). After the swim we will find a nice bar, have a few drinks and recount our experiences.

26 August. Gozo
Today we will return to Gozo – this time we will have the chance to look around. Visit the temples of Ggantija, the citadel in Victoria, Xlendi Bay and the Azure Window at Dwejra. No need to swim back to Malta - we will take the ferry!
Back to Ramla Bay for a refreshing swim.

27 August Mdina- Valletta
Morning swim and breakfast.
Today we will transfer to Valleta. On the way we will visit the citadel of Mdina, Navigate the narrow streets and get an almost 360 panaromic view of the island. We will visit the San Anton Gardens and the Mosta Church with its impressive dome, one of the largest standing unsupported domes in Europe.
We will then transfer to our hotel in Valletta
28 August - Valletta
Morning swim. After a leisurely breakfast we will explore Valletta. Wander through the bustling streets, see the Barracca Gardens with its breathtaking view of the Grand Harbour, St John’s Co-Cathedral with its Caravaggio painting and the Grand Masters Palace.
Remainder of day at leisure.
29 August - Valletta
For those who want to join in we will once again start our day with a morning swim.
The remainder of the day is at leisure to is free to explore this amazing UNESCO heritage site at your own pace. Our guide will be on hand to offer suggestions.
30 August. Three cities
After breakfast we thought it would be fun to hire the quirky little electric cars "Rolling Geeks" to explore the Three Cities.
In as little as two and a half hours, your Rolling Geek will take you around Malta's famous Three Cities. The incredible views from Gardjola Gardens are hard to leave, but with so many awe-inspiring churches, traditional piazzas, and architectural riches to see, you'll need to tear yourself away at some point.
If history and culture is what brought you to theis area, you won't be disappointed. The Rolling Geeks will drive you past all of the following museums so feel free to step out and allow yourself to be transported back in time whether it's at the Maritime Museum, the Inquisitor's Palace- National Museum of Ethnography, Malta War Museum, all three located in Birgu (Vittoriosa) or Fort Rinella in Kalkara.
31 August – farewell!
After a morning swim and breakfast it is time to pack your bags and bid farewell to Malta.
